1. Ppuri Park

The Ppuri Park is a great place to learn loyalty and filial piety with sculptures that symbolize a family name to make people aware of their pedigree and realize that they are the descendents of the Korean race.
This park features a variety of facilities including a sculpture of family name, Sasindo (the painting of four gods) and Sibijiji (the twelve terrestrial branches)-shaped spring water, waterside stage on which various events are held, the turfgrass square, observatory, octagonal pavilion, recreational forest and the nature observation garden.

2. Hanbat Arboretum

Dunsan Grand Park, designated as an urban neighborhood park on June 7th, 1991, is a local cultural Mecca. The park is home to a wide variety of cultural and arts facilities including the Daejeon Culture & Arts Center, Pyeongsong Youth Cultural Center, Daejeon Museum of Art, and Ungno Lee Museum of Art. Coupled with the arboretum, it is one of the most culturally sophisticated areas of the city.
The Hanbat Arboretum, linked with the Daejeon Government Complex and Science Park, is the largest manmade urban arboretum.
This venue serves multiple purposes: to act as a reservoir

of genetically diverse foliage, an eco learning center for students, and a recreational area where people can relax and pass the time in the peaceful embrace of nature.

3. Gyejoksan

Along with the Gyejoksan Premium 100-ri Forest Trail, this beautiful trail is found in Jangdong Recreational Forest.
Visitors can take a pleasant barefoot walk along this 13km-long loess trail from spring to fall.
The Masai Marathon, the Barefoot Hwangtogil Walkathon and the International Installation Art Contest are held every May

4. Temple Stay

A Temple Stay is a cultural-experience program designed to help people understand Korean Buddhism better.
Temple stays offer various kinds of practicing methods such as Yebul (ceremonial service involving chanting), Chamseon (Zen meditation), Dahdoh (tea ceremony) and Balwoo Gongyang (communal Buddhist meal service).
Participants can find their 'true self' amongst the harmony of nature while staying at a temple.
Temple Life, the experience of temples, is another program designed to help people understand Korean Buddhism and the life of monks better.

5. Yusung Hot Spring

Yuseong is famous for hot springs. According to legends, wounded soldiers of Baekje Dynasty were healed after taking a bath here.
Many kings and presidents including the first King of Josun Dynasty, Lee Seongge stayed here for their vacation.
Yuseong improves every day.
In addition, Yuseong is the mecca of science and technology of South Korea, accommodating a science industry complex, and cutting edge industries including electronics.
There are pleasant residential areas in the southwestern

area. Yuseong is a rural science and technology city where you can enjoy a relaxing life as well as an academic life, science and industry.
